Tools Required:
- Cordless Drill (extra batteries)
- 8mm Nut Driver for drill (to tighten hose clamps)
- 10mm Deep Socket (to tighten sign board to swivel arms)
- 10 mm Wrench (to tighten the sign board to the swivel arms)
- Metal Cutters (to trim hose clamps after tightening)
- Scissors (to trim / cut the ratchet straps)
- Lighter (for end of ratchet strap after cutting to prevent fraying)
- Phillips Screw Driver (to tighten the sign board to the swivel arms)
Getting Started: Determine the sign height installation location. Once you have determined the correct location use the top pole bracket and measure down from the bottom of the top bracket to the base or ground. Using this measurement on all signs will keep the sign level at a consistent level. If the ground is not level than determine the overall look and feel that you are going for and adjust accordingly.
NOTE: There are two different views on the sign brackets. There is a front view and a back view. The preferred view is the front view that should face the main traffic flow. The pole bracket arms can be flipped top to bottom to reverse the main view side. How you install the sign board on to the pole bracket arms should be consistent for the best visual results. Comment, there is not much of a visual difference between the front and the back view but this attention to detail will create a better customer experience.
Front View Side – is the angle metal that is affixed to the swivel arm
Back View Side – is the loose flat strap side
Step 2. Start by installing the sign board to the top and bottom swivel arms using the loose flat strap across the back side. Then tighten the nuts and bolts (4 each top and bottom). See note above, (there are two different views on the sign board). Tighten all (8) nuts and bolts and secure the sign board to the top and bottom bracket arms.
NOTE: When installing the pole bracket to the bracket arm place the middle strap slot on the pole bracket towards the center or between the two brackets. Be consistent on the pole bracket direction. The top bracket will face in the opposite direction as the bottom bracket. In other words, the center slot is always facing each other or opposing each other.
Step 3. Install the bottom pole bracket to the bracket arm only (not the top bracket). Use the nuts and bolts and secure.
Step 4. Start by installing the top pole bracket to the pole at the correct location. Then tighten and secure the pole bracket using the black ratchet strap. Then tighten the 2 hose clamps to secure the top pole bracket. Trim the hose clamps with metal cutters. Trim the ratchet straps with a good pair of scissors and then use a lighter on the end to prevent fraying.
Step 5. Install the sign to the pole by sliding the top bracket arm on to the pole bracket. Add the (2) nuts and bolts. Tighten and secure the bracket arm to the pole bracket.
Step 6. Secure the bottom pole bracket using the ratchet strap followed by the (2) hose clamps. Trim the hose clamps with a metal cutter and then trim the ratchet strap with scissors. Use a lighter on the end to prevent fraying.
